Khachmaz Sharab Zavodu was established in the late XIX by Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev, a pioneer of Azerbaijani industry and one of the country’s most influential philanthropists. His vision was clear: to introduce modern production standards and create lasting institutions that would benefit future generations.

As part of that mission, he founded the winery in Khachmaz, recognizing the region’s potential for producing high-quality wines and spirits. More than a business, the factory was a statement of confidence in local talent, natural resources, and long-term growth.

Today, we continue to build on that foundation—combining traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to produce a refined selection of wines, vodkas, and cognacs. True to Taghiyev’s vision, our work is driven by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and cultural heritage.
